She started acting and singing at 8 years old which she found interesting. She started her career in a theater. She played in the plays like, THe WIzard of Oz, The King and I and others. She was in the movie entitled Thirteen which was one of the nominated movies at Oscars! The following year she was in the movie, Thunderbirds which is also a movie.

Vanessa had guest appearances too! She was in the Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Quintuplets, Cover me, The Brothers Garcia, and Drake and Josh. Her life begun to be famous when she played Gabriella in the hit series of High School Musical. Which was one of her greatest accomplishments in life! And led Zac and Vanessa as one of the cutest couples! Also, Ashley and V became best friends.

She was offered many advertisements like Neutrogena and Red by Mark Ecko. She got even more famous in High School Musical 2!

But just last year, a rumored spread over the internet that Vanessa was nude in some photos which was leaked and spread in the world wide web. Her publicist told that she taken those photos privately but unfortunately was leaked over the internet. She was embarrassed over the situation and apologized on what she had done.

But Vanessa still continued her life and some supporters are still for her. After the news, she have new projecs like High School Musical 3 which will be the last movie of High School Musical. She has also the 2nd album which will be released in 2008. And another movie she will be at is Will which she play the role of Sa5m (silent 5). With other great actors and actresses. .

In this year 2008, Vanessa started to film the High School Musical 3! She also have her new album entitled, "Identified" which was released on July 1, 2008.
